This is a world class restaurant with superb cooking, service, ambiance, and wine list. Charleston would hold its own anywhere. Although I've not eaten at Per Se or FL, several people who have consider the cooking at Charleston to be at that level.

Cindy Wolf does a great job integrating Haute Cuisine with traditional southern dishes. Charleston is in a class by itself in Baltimore. Excellent wine list but worth knowing one of the few regulars who have the luxury of having their own wine locker

Chef Cindy Wolf bring an elegant atmosphere to low-country cooking. James Beard nominee/winner. Excellent service and food

Not without its charm, there are dozens of places like this. Everything served on a bed of something else. A bit overly acidic in some of the saucing, it can be difficult to pair wines with some of the dishes. Some of the Low Country classics like shrimp and grits are very well executed. Good by Baltimore standards, but nothing special on the national scene
