Back in 2006, Douglas Keane and Nick Peyton felt that Sonoma County could handle the type of culinary sophistication that neighboring Napa was known for, so they created this venue in the town of Healdsburg. Luxury abounds at Cyrus, where after whetting your appetite on a well-stocked Champagne and caviar cart, you get to enjoy Keene's Asian-tinged, French cuisine, which places an emphasis on luxury ingredients in dishes like Thai-marinated lobster with avocado and mango or Wagyu beef with burdock and shiso in an oxtail consommé. Even the vegetable dishes—like porcini mushrooms with spring onions, fava beans and smoked carrots—have a luxurious feel to them. Peyton’s contribution is an amazingly well-stocked wine list, resulting in some of the best wine pairings offered in the county.
