People just love Elisabeth Pruett and Chad Robertson's bakery. In fact, reviewers were so enthusiastic that comments like "This is the only bakery in the U.S. that can be compared with those in Paris," and "The baked goods were better than at many of Europe's finest bakeries" were commonplace. In addition to the breakfast treats, which include "an almond croissant to die for" and a pain au jambon called "possibly the single best morning pastry made in the U.S," there are hot pressed sandwiches, like Humboldt Fog goat cheese on walnut bread and delicious pastries like éclairs and a lemon meringue cake rectangle.
