James Freeman is one of those great American success stories. He began serving his coffee at a local farmer's market, and his various roasts of beans became so popular that he now occupies a prime piece of real estate in the Ferry Building while also operating locations in faraway places like Brooklyn. As for explaining why his coffee is so popular, our prose couldn't possibly do it the same justice as these comments: "cult coffee," "The coffee is quite exceptional," "yummers" and "Close your eyes and you're in Italy."
