Well before the artisanal baked goods craze swept America, Sarabeth Levine, and her husband Bill, began feeding hungry upper eastsiders. Word got out about the delicious croissants, scones and sweet breads she was serving and it wasn’t long before people started lining up for weekend brunch. That was 30 years ago, and despite the fact that the Levine’s now operate nine different locations, the original Carnegie Hill location is still one of the most popular brunch spots in New York City.
