What is most extraordinary about Karen Krasne’s shop in San Diego’s Little Italy is that she occupies a 7,000 square foot space. Given the cost of the items she sells—breads, pastries, sandwiches and bruschettas—they must be pretty good to sell enough to pay the rent.
