In 2003, two friends who at the time knew nothing about making doughnuts opened this unique spot on what looks like Portland's version of Skid Row. Visit on the weekend and you are guaranteed to find yourself in a long line of locals and tourists who are waiting for a chance to sample kooky creations like the Loop (vanilla icing and Fruit Loops ), Mango Tango (mango jelly and vanilla frosting), the Diablos Rex (icing in the shape of a pentagram), Cock-N-Balls (shaped like you-know-what) and their most famous offering - the Bacon Maple Bar, in which an actual slice of bacon stretches across the maple icing. They serve Stumptown Coffee, or you can stick with the classic accompaniment, a cold glass of milk.
